…emerges Man-of-The-Match, All-time Goal Scorer
Super Eagles’ and Galatasaray star striker, Victor Osimhen has opened up on why he refused to celebrate his goal against Juventus last night.
“I didn’t celebrate after the goal”, the goal machine said in a post match media chat.
He continued “There was no need to. First of all, I respect Luciano Spalletti, my former coach at Napoli, who I love and who played an important role in my career”.
Osimhen also complained about his team’s performance during the game saying, “Secondly, we played badly against our opponents when we were down to 10 men. I’m not a player who hides his emotions.”
Recall that Victor Osimhen had scored the goal that sealed qualification for his Turkish side and deservedly won Man of the Match award in a hard-fought thriller which ended 3-2 (5-7 on aggregate) against Juventus in the UEFA Champions League yesterday.
With last night’s, the Super Eagles’ talisman has now claimed his fourth MOTM award in the UCL this season alone.
With 7 goals, Victor Osimhen is officially Galatasaray’s all-time top foreign goal scorer in the Champions League.
