…as Jigawa PDP Minority Leader defects to APC
Three serving Senators who were elected on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) are set to quit their political party.
According to information at our disposal, the lawmakers have concluded plans to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) after meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu earlier today
The senators are:
– Senator Adamu Aliero, representing Kebbi Central
– Senator Yahaya Abubakar Abdullahi, representing Kebbi North
– Senator Garba Maidoki, representing Kebbi South
Meanwhile, PDP Minority Leader in Jigawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Yahaya Zakari Kwarko has defected to the ruling APC.
He was received formally into his new party by Governor Namadi of Jigawa State.
