…as Prof Nyaudo’s tenure ends

Following the expiration of the tenure of the outgoing Vice Chancellor of the University of Uyo; Prof Nyaudo Ndaeyo, an Acting Vice Chancellor has been appointed to oversee the affairs of the institution pending the emergence of a substantive VC.
At the Senate meeting of the University held today, November 26, 2025, Professor Anthonia Essien, Deputy Vice Chancellor, (Academic) was appointed in Acting capacity.
A revered academia, Professor Anthonia is a devout Catholic and a Reverend Sister. A quick check revealed that she hails from the Annang extraction of Akwa Ibom State.
According to pundits, Sister Antonia is humane, very intelligent, a philanthropist, kindhearted person who is full of compassion.
She is said to be highly respected within the academia.
As at the time of this report, the process was in top gear towards emergence of a substantive Vice Chancellor for the University of Uyo.
