Nigerian chef, Rita Nnagbogu Ifeyinwa, is gearing up for a record-breaking culinary feat as she plans to cook the biggest pot of Ukodo and beans next week in Asaba, Delta State.
According to reports, a philanthropist has pledged ₦20 million in support of the attempt, which is aimed at securing a spot in the Guinness World Records.
The event is expected to draw food lovers, cultural enthusiasts, and supporters eager to witness history being made, as Ukodo (yam pepper soup) and beans remain staple delicacies in Nigerian cuisine.
If successful, Chef Rita will join the growing list of Nigerians who have made their mark on the global stage through unique record-breaking achievements.
It would be recalled that Hilda Baci last week in Lagos, broke the Guinness World Record of cooking the biggest pot of jolloff rice. The Guinness World Record has acknowledged Hilda’s attempt via a post on its verified social media platform.
