…as INEC supervises primary elections in Akwa Ibom State

A leading governorship hopeful, Akparawa Michael Bush has been declared as the 2027 standard bearer of the Labour Party, LP, in Akwa Ibom State.
Akparawa Michael Bush’s emergence was announced today, 30th May, 2026, during the Presidential, Governorship, National and States Assembly Primary Elections of the Labour Party conducted in the state.
Chairman of the Labour Party National Electoral Committee for Akwa Ibom State, Dr. Kingsley Okundaye, while making the announcement noted that the processes which led to Michael Bush’s emergence were in full compliance with the Constitution of the party, the Electoral Act and other relevant electoral rules and guidelines.
The event held at the Labour Party State Secretariat, #40 Akwa Efak, off Udoudoma Avenue, which also served as State Collation Center for the party, had in attendance officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Akwa Ibom State, including the Head of Department, Electoral Project Manager (EPM), Vivian Oladipo as well as officers and men the Nigeria Police and the Directorate of State Services, DSS.
