The Executive Chairman of Ilorin West Local Government, Hon. Shehu Abdulrahman Babatunde Ladan, has carried out an inspection of the ongoing road construction project at Ita-Nmo, Gaa-Zaka, and Madi road in Ilorin West, describing the development as a major relief for residents and road users in the area.
Speaking during the inspection exercise, Hon. Ladan, along the legislative members in Ilorin West led by Rt. Hon. Yusuf Aremu Ajia expressed delight at the pace and quality of work being delivered by the contractors, stressing that the project when completed will open up the communities for greater socio-economic activities, reduce travel time, and ease the burden of transportation for farmers, traders, students, and commuters.
The Chairman specially appreciated the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his unwavering commitment to grassroots development, particularly in the area of road infrastructure, which he described as a giant stride in actualizing the urban renewal agenda of the present administration.
Hon. Ladan further assured residents of Ilorin West that his administration remains committed to complementing the state government’s efforts by initiating and supporting projects that directly touch the lives of the people. He urged the benefiting communities to take ownership of the project and ensure proper maintenance upon completion.
The inspection exercise attracted community leaders, youth representatives, and other stakeholders, who commended both the state and the local government leadership for bringing meaningful development to their doorsteps.
