A surveillance team of the Nigeria Police Force, Akwa Ibom State Command on 6th September, arrested one Kufre Aniefiok Akpan who confessed to be a member of Sky Low cult group.
This was disclosed in a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Akwa Ibom State Command, DSP Timfon John.
According to the statement dated September 8, 2025, “At approximately 4:55AM of September 6, 2025 a surveillance team on an intensive stop-and-search operation at the Nung Oku roundabout, located by Ring Road 3, Uyo, successfully apprehended a suspect.
The individual, identified as Kufre Aniefiok Akpan, a male from Nkin Village in Itu Local Government Area, was subjected to a search. The search led to the recovery of a cut-to-size double-barrel shotgun, two live cartridges, and various items suspected to be charms.
During interrogation, Akpan confessed to being an active member of the “Sky Low” secret cult”.
The police statement added that investigation into the matter was ongoing, and that further developments would be communicated to the public as they became available.
