A Pan-Africanist and Development Advocate, Hon Ibrahim Kabiru Gagarawa has cried out over what he described as ‘daily horror’, which he claims Hausa people go through.
In a post he circulated in the media, Ibrahim Gagarawa relieved the pains of parents and husbands having to stand and watch their grown daughters and wives being violated by bandits operating in northern Nigeria.
According to Gagarawa “In some rural Arewa communities, a bandit can walk into a man’s home and order him to bring his grown daughter to a designated spot on the outskirts on a fixed date and time.
There, the bandit violates her while the father waits helplessly under a tree. When it’s over, he takes her back home, Same with your wife”
Gagarawa noted further that any resistance from the parents, husbands or the victims would attract serious danger. He called on the Hausa people to wake up and unite for the safety of their communities.
