MESSAGE TITLE: “Interrupt Me Again, Lord… Even If I Missed You Before”
SCRIPTURE TEXT: “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock…” — Revelation 3:20
BY: EFFIONG ETOK
Carrier of God’s Word
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
“You can cry for divine help, yet slam the door when the answer wears a form you didn’t pray for.”
MAIN MESSAGE
Maybe the help came… but we despised the form it wore.
Maybe God spoke-through a parent, a pastor, a teacher-but we rolled our eyes and hardened our hearts.
Maybe we cried for direction-but when it came clothed as correction, we called it judgment.
Maybe we asked for healing-but rejected the path of humility that carried it.
Some of us are bleeding today because we silenced the very voice sent to save us.
Some cried for marriage-but mocked the man with godly vision because he lacked glamor.
Some prayed for promotion-but failed the test of character wrapped in difficult bosses.
Some are living out consequences… not because God didn’t answer, but because we didn’t recognize the answer.
Jerusalem missed her moment-and Jesus wept
(Luke 19:44).
Nazareth missed miracles-because the vessel looked too familiar (Mark 6:5–6).
And today, many are still missing God-not because He’s silent, but because He came through rebuke they called offense… in delays they called attacks… in interruptions they dismissed as distractions.
Maybe we aborted mercy-through dishonor, disobedience, abortion, arrogance, or indulgence.
But here’s the mercy: He’s knocking again.
So we cry-Interrupt me again, Lord! Even if You must break me, don’t let me drown in what I brought upon myself.
TAKEAWAY STATEMENT
“The greatest danger is not that God won’t come-but that He comes in a form we’ve trained our hearts to reject.”
PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord, anywhere I aborted Your plan-through fear, pleasure, dishonor, or pride-interrupt my journey with mercy again. I welcome Your knocking, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen!
2. Father, if I ever rejected Your messengers, resented Your corrections, or ignored Your instructions, break my resistance and realign me with Your purpose before it’s too late, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen!
