2027: Prophet Ituen warns of political conspiracy in Gombe, predicts Guber winner

LAGOS— The Founder and Spiritual Leader of Christ Deliverance Ministries, Prophet Ekong Ituen, has raised the alarm over what he describes as looming political conspiracy and sabotage in Gombe State, even as he projected Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna as the likely winner of the state’s 2027 governorship election.

In a prophetic statement released on May 27, 2026, the Lagos-based cleric said Governor Alhaji Muhammed Inuwa Yahaya is “a good man, who loves his people and the State,” but warned that he “needs divine intervention to bring on board a successor and to avert political conspiracy and sabotage within the party.”

According to Ituen, the situation has “reflected in the spiritual realm,” where aggrieved party members are plotting actions that could generate tension and threaten the security of the state.

“In my revelation, I see Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, winning 2027 Governorship Election in Gombe State, but there will be betrayal of trust,” the prophet stated.

He urged stakeholders in Gombe to engage in prayers to avert the predicted crisis, providing his WhatsApp contact for “prayers and enquiries.”

Track Record of Fulfilled Prophecies

The latest prediction comes as part of a series of political prophecies Prophet Ituen says have been fulfilled in past election cycles, a claim he backs with newspaper publications.

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, Ituen said he prophesied that “Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of APC and the following governorship candidates will win 2023 elections in their respective states.”

He listed the names to include Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, Mohammed Inua Yahaya of Gombe State, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Nasiru Idris of Kebbi State, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, Uba Sani of Kaduna State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Umar Dikko Radar of Katsina State, and Babagana Zulum of Borno State.

“Prophet Ekong Ituen, Telegraph-11/1/2023 page 6. Vanguard-15/1/2023 page 23. Tnn News-16/1/2023page7,” the statement read.

The cleric also pointed to his predictions before the 2019 elections. He said he foretold that “David Umahi of PDP in Ebonyi State, Ben Ayade of PDP in Cross River State will win 2019 Governorship Elections in their respective States,” citing Daily Sun on 22/12/2018 page 42, Vanguard on 28/12/2018 page 25, Telegraph on 29/12/2018 page 43, and The Nation on 6/1/2019 page 13.

In the same period, Ituen claimed he predicted political setbacks for some prominent governors. “The incumbent governors of Imo and Ogun State, Rochas Okorocha and Ibikunle Amosun will experience political humiliation that will make them irrelevant in their respective states after 2019 election,” he said.

He also said he prophesied that “President Muhammadu Buhari and the following governorship candidates will win 2019 elections in their respective states; Babagana Zulum of Borno State, Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi State, Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State.”

Going further back, Ituen recalled his 2015 election prophecy regarding former President Goodluck Jonathan.

“President Jonathan will not win 2015 Presidential election because I have seen the flag falling from his hands, which signifies defeat. He will beg Obasanjo for reconciliation but Obasanjo will be adamant. He should be careful with some Northern governors as they will not be there for him when he will need them most,” he quoted himself as saying, referencing Daily Sun publications on 20/1/2014 Page 54 and 15/1/2015 Page 47.

…calls for vigilance in Gombe

Political observers in Gombe say the prophet’s warning about internal party friction comes at a time when succession politics is already shaping up ahead of 2027. Governor Inuwa Yahaya, who is serving his second term, will be ineligible to contest again, opening the race for new contenders within the All Progressives Congress and opposition parties.

Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, named in the prophecy, is a prominent Gombe politician and former Managing Director of Kano Electricity Distribution Company. He contested the APC governorship ticket in 2023 but lost to the incumbent.

Ituen’s statement that there will be “betrayal of trust” has already sparked discussions among political circles in the state, with some calling for unity within the ruling party to prevent the predicted fallout.

The prophet, who runs Christ Deliverance Ministries headquarters in Lagos, has maintained that his prophecies are meant to guide leaders and citizens toward prayer and preventive action.

He concluded the May 27 statement with a call for spiritual intervention: “Alhaji Muhammed Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State is a good man, who loves his people and the State, but needs divine intervention to bring on board a successor and to avert political conspiracy and sabotage within the party.”

As 2027 approaches, political actors in Gombe are expected to watch how the dynamics within the APC unfold, especially with succession and internal loyalty becoming central issues in the state’s political calculus.
